The phrase "content is king" maybe one you have heard before. Content is extremely valuable in terms of marketing
Whether it’s regular blog posts on your own website, guest posts on high-profile online publications, or visuals you share on social media, content is a simple and cost-effective way you can connect with your customers.
Marketing can be very outward- but bringing people to interact with you is where you can bring the most value and convert spectators into customers. You have the opportunity to show your potential customers your knowledge on a subject, your brand ethos, or how you differ from your competition.
Creating content for your marketing has some tangible benefits too. For example, if you create a blog and share it to your social media you may see an increase in traffic to your website, you can improve your ranking on search engines (SEO- search engine optimisation) –Having content with some keywords that people search for included can help increase your rankings. And of course, it allows you to have direct customer conversations on topics that interest them.
There are some intangible benefits too- the more visible you are the more your brand is seen, you have the potential to reach new customers (If you're creating content that targets potential customers, you're shortening the distance between those people and you, making it all the more likely they'll make a purchase later on) and of course, you can build your strength in your sector as an expert in your field.
